Pay As You Drive
Road pricing - ultimately the answer for
traffic-clogged city streets
One of G&A's largest single projects has been the business and organisational planning, technical research and budgeting for a proposed US$75m venture in Hong Kong. Under this scheme, drivers would pay for the time they occupy busy roads in peak periods. This concept has been considered in Hong Kong before. The Hong Kong government is again looking seriously at this way of charging for road use rather than for car ownership.
